Hotel Deal Signed at Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter

A new hotel is coming to the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter. A land lease was signed between LNW Hospitality, a hotel developer, owner, and operator and the Georgia Agricultural Exposition Authority (GAEA) to construct a new hotel beside the Miller Murphy Howard Building.

GAEA Chairman Foster Rhodes and JJ Singh, Director of LNW Hospitality, signed the lease agreement on July 14. The hotel will consist of standard rooms and suites and have a swimming pool along with several other amenities.

“We are thrilled to partner with the GAEA, the Fairgrounds, and the City of Perry to bring this hotel to life. We have appreciated the leadership of all parties in helping turn this vision into a viable project. Perry and the Fairgrounds are renowned for the ability to bring all Georgians together, and we look forward to building a hotel that will match the importance of its location,” said Singh.

Stephen Shimp, Executive Director of the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter, addressed the GAEA Board of directors and guests before the GAEA monthly board meeting.

He thanked Perry Mayor Randall Walker and city council for approving incentives in 2020 for the hotel nicknamed “Project Sleep.” He also expressed his appreciation to Ashley Hardin, City of Perry Economic Development Administrator, who was instrumental in facilitating the connections for this project.

“We are truly excited that we are finally getting a hotel here. LNW has been a pleasure to work with to this point and we look forward to a continued partnership. They certainly have a great reputation and have a very impressive record of building quality hotels” said Shimp.
