Perry Fire Obtains EMS Agency License

Perry Fire & Emergency Services received the EMS Agency License from the Georgia Department of Public Health, Office of EMS, and Trauma as a licensed Medical First Responder Agency.

For many years, our department has provided medical care for our citizens through a partnership with Houston Healthcare.

Medical responses are a large part of our operation and obtaining this certification is a way for our department to enhance and ensure that effective medical care is being rendered to our citizens.

This license ensures that whenever a fire apparatus is called to a medical emergency, there will be at a minimum an EMT or Paramedic on that apparatus to help expedite medical care under approved protocols from a licensed medical director.
