The Perry Fire Department's Administration is responsible for overall leadership and management of the department as well as planning, budgeting, and other administrative functions.
Operations provides fire protection, rescue services, and medical first responder service to approx. 16,000 citizens in a service coverage area of over 27 square miles. With the growth of Perry, the department now handles over 2000 emergency incidents a year.
With approximately 20 EMT’s and 4 Paramedics, the department utilizes Basic Life Support equipment and supplies on all Fire Engines, Ladder Trucks and Rescues. This gives these EMT’s and Paramedics the resources they need to deliver a level of medical care as a part of their first response to an incident…
Medical calls account for about 70% of all responses.
