City Celebrates Andrews Heights Park

The City of Perry hosted a dedication for Andrew Heights Park on November 18 to further provide pocket parks to neighborhoods.

The 0.24-acre park is designed as part of the Perry Downtown Development Authority’s (DDA) Master Plan and incorporates the expansion of the Downtown District. Amenities include swings for various ages and abilities, inclusive spinner, and a concrete picnic table under the shade of large oak trees.

Andrews Heights Park project costs $21,401.80. Perry resident, David Grossnickle, generously donated $3,000 toward the park in honor of his father, Kenneth Grossnickle. The remaining funding was provided through SPLOST.

Andrew Heights Park is located at 700 Charlse Avenue in Perry.

The DDA’s mission is to serve as a catalyst for economic growth and development in Perry’s Downtown District.
