Construction Accident Claims Life in Perry

On December 3, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Perry Police and Fire Departments responded to a construction accident at the entrance of Woodlands Blvd and Highway 127.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered that a victim had been accidentally struck by a commercial forklift. The individual sustained serious injuries, and medical aid was immediately provided at the scene. The victim was transported to Houston Medical Center by EMS but tragically succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

The Perry Police Department and investigators from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are conducting a joint investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
