Declaration for Local Emergency for the City of Perry | Municipal Court Closure

Due to the impact of Hurricane Helene on September 26, 2024, a local state of emergency has been declared for the City of Perry. This follows the Governor’s state-wide emergency declaration issued on September 24, 2024.

Emergency operations are in effect to ensure the health and safety of Perry residents, including household pets and service animals. Curfews, overcharging protections, and registration for repair services have also been implemented.

In addition, effective September 26 at noon, all courts in Houston County will be closed through Monday at 9:00 AM, per an Emergency Order issued by Chief Judge Lukemire.
