Fatal Accident Under Investigation on Lovely Lane

On December 15, 2024, an elderly male tragically lost his life in an accidental motor vehicle incident at a residence in the 1100 block of Lovely Lane.

The accident occurred when an elderly family member, attempting to move a vehicle out of the garage, inadvertently shifted the vehicle into drive instead of reverse. The vehicle struck the victim, causing severe injuries.

Perry Police Officers and Perry Fire Department personnel responded promptly and administered life-saving measures on the scene. Despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at Perry Hospital.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol and Perry Police Department.
