Historic Downtown Perry Hosts Annual Wine Tasting Event

Tickets for Downtown Perry's Wine Tasting - Spring 2023 are officially sold out! Thank you to everyone that has purchased tickets in support of Downtown Perry.

Didn't have a chance to purchase tickets? You can still enjoy Downtown Perry on the evening of April 15 for live music and shopping late. Food and beverage will be available for purchase throughout downtown, including wine from local wineries, wine slushies, and other beverages.

The Perry Main Street Promotions Committee is hosting their annual Downtown Perry Wine Tasting on April 21, 2023 at 5:30 p.m.

The event features over 25 stops where participants will sample a variety of wines while exploring downtown shops. Attendees are also encouraged to dine in one of the local restaurants. Water stops will also be available. Live jazz music will be presented by Ryan Whitehead Music during the event.

Tickets are $50 and available online. Participants must be twenty-one years or older and identification must be presented at check in.

The Perry Police Department will host a courtesy shuttle to those living within Perry’s city limits. The shuttle will pick up at the corner of Main Street and Ball Street behind the old courthouse.

Proceeds from this event will benefit downtown placemaking, public improvement, and design projects within the downtown district.

Road Closures
Road closures for the event begin at 3:00 p.m. through 10:00 p.m. include:

  • 800 & 900 blocks of Carroll Street
  • Jernigan Street from Commerce Street to Main Street
  • Ball Street from Commerce Street to Main Street

The Perry Main Street Promotions Committee, also part of the Perry Mainstreet Program, works alongside downtown merchants to hosts events specifically tailored to bring customers into downtown Perry.

A second Downtown Perry Wine Tasting is scheduled for October 20, 2023. More information about the event will be released as it becomes available.
