Holiday StoryWalk®

Posted on

Perry Main Street is excited to partner with the Houston County Board of Education to present the second book in our StoryWalk® series. Join us in Downtown Perry on December 10th-12th to read The Sweet Smell of Christmas.

StoryWalk® is a fun way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors simultaneously by taking pages from children’s books and placing them along paths for participants. Select stores in Downtown Perry will post pages from a storybook in their windows. Activities for the whole family will be available along with a special prize for the first 100 children to complete a short survey.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

Families may participate in StoryWalk® at anytime over the weekend. It is self-paced.

You'll begin your reading journey at 1005 Jernigan Street. Each stop will instruct you on where to walk next. Be sure to use crosswalks and pedestrian crossing signs when crossing streets in Downtown Perry.
