Mr. James Moody was sworn in as the Councilmember for District 3 Post 2 on the Perry City Council at the January 2, 2024, Council Meeting.

Born and raised in Perry, he is a proud 1982 graduate of Perry High School. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he began a career at Robins Air Force Base, which he retired from in 2020.

Mr. Moody is a former City of Perry planning commissioner and is an active member of Cross Point Baptist Church, where he serves as a deacon. He and his wife Marilyn have four children and eight grandchildren.
