Joe Posey Assumes Roles as Interim Councilmembers for Perry Council

Mr. Joe Posey was sworn in as the interim Councilmember for the remaining term of District 3 Post 2 on the Perry City Council at the July 18, 2023, Council Meeting.

Mr. Posey is as a former teacher at Russell and Lindsey Elementary Schools, and Warner Robins Middle School. He has also made contributions as the director of counseling and testing at Macon State College and as a consultant with Middle Georgia RESA (Regional Educational Service Agency).

He served as the past chairman of the Westfield Schools Board of Trustees, the past president of the Perry County Club Board of Directors, and the Club’s Men’s Golf Association. Additionally, he founded and chairs the James E. Worrall Foundation.

Mr. Posey previously served on Perry City Council from 2009-2014. He will serve as the interim councilmember for District 3 Post 2 until December 31, 2023.
