Perry Celebrates Diversity in First International Festival

The City of Perry will celebrate as multiple cultures come together for the City’s first International Festival on Saturday, November 6 in Historic Downtown Perry. This free event begins at 11:00 a.m. and lasts through 7:00 p.m.

Over twenty countries will be represented through dance, song, good, shopping, and art. Three stages will showcase the talents of artists, dancers, musicians, and more, attendees will have the opportunity to develop a deeper connection to their own cultures while learning about the others around them.

The Diversity Stage, located on the greenspace lawn in the heart of Historic Downtown Perry, will feature a full day of live performances representing countries such as China, Mexica, Brazil, Samoa, and more.

The Heritage Stage, located near Legacy Park in Historic Downtown Perry, will feature a full day of live performances representing America, Ireland, France, and more.

The World Wellness Stage, located near Washington Street, will feature a full day of free fitness workshops with cultural influences such as Zumba, BollyX, yoga, and more. No pre-registration is required to participate. All ages and ability are welcome.

Outside food and beverages, including coolers, are prohibited. Historic Downtown Perry restaurants and mobile vendors will be available at the event. Portable seating, such as bag chairs, is strongly encouraged.

Attendees are invited to “Wear their Heritage” and dress in apparel that represents their country, culture, or heritage.
