Perry Council Member Amy Fouse Appointed to Statewide Children and Youth Advisory Council

Perry Council Member Amy Fouse has been appointed to the Georgia Municipal Association’s (GMA) Children and Youth Advisory Council for the 2026–2027 year.

The council recommends programs and other initiatives to address the needs of children and youth in Georgia’s cities. It also connects city officials with agencies and organizations that support young people. Members share ideas about programs that have made a positive difference and may recommend policies to address issues affecting children and youth.

“I am honored to serve on the Georgia Municipal Association’s Children and Youth Advisory Council,” Fouse said. “As a lifelong public educator and now an elected official, advocating for children and creating opportunities for them to thrive has always been a passion of mine. This appointment brings those two areas of service together, and I look forward to representing Perry and contributing my experience to this important work at the state level.”
