Perry Police Department, Bibb County Sheriff's Office, and Houston County Sheriff's Office Collaborate to Recover $175,000 in Stolen Property and Arrest Suspects
The Perry Police Department, in partnership with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office and the Houston County Sheriff's Office, has successfully concluded a joint investigation into a series of thefts that began in November 2024. The investigation has resulted in the arrest of two suspects and the recovery of nearly $175,000 in stolen property.
On January 14, 2025, investigators with the Bibb County Property Crimes Unit apprehended Timothy Winters and Ronnie Hamrick. Both individuals are now facing multiple felony theft charges stemming from their involvement in a string of thefts targeting vehicles, equipment, and construction materials.
Subsequent interviews and follow-up investigations by all three agencies led to the recovery of stolen items in both Bibb and Houston Counties. The collaborative efforts of these law enforcement agencies were instrumental in identifying the suspects and recovering the stolen property.
This case remains under investigation, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
The Perry Police Department would like to thank the Bibb County Sheriff's Office and the Houston County Sheriff's Office for their teamwork and dedication in this effort.
