Perry Police Department Collaborates with Multiple Agencies in Major Fraud and Human Trafficking Investigation

In January of 2024, the Perry Police Department, with the assistance of the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Houston County District Attorney’s Office, Warner Robins Police Department, Centerville Police Department, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Byron Police Department, Lilburn Police Department, United States Postal Service Inspection Services, Georgia Bureau of Investigation Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit, Georgia Department of Revenue Criminal Investigation, Federal Bureau of Investigation (Macon Office), Homeland Security, New York Police Department, and the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation began a fraud, identify theft, federal and state income tax fraud, and human trafficking investigation. that included many different jurisdictions within and outside the State of Georgia. This investigation would not have been possible without the total cooperation of all the federal, state, and local agencies involved.

During the investigation search and arrest warrants were served at multiple locations to include Houston County, Bibb County, Crawford County, Fulton County, and Dekalb County. Investigators recovered hundreds of stolen checks and money orders totaling around one million dollars. They are believed to have been taken from United States Postal Service Blue Boxes in Bibb and Houston Counties.

Two locations identified during the investigation as places where fraudulent Driver’s Licenses from all 50 states, Passport cards, VA Benefit Cards, Social Security Cards, Alien Resident Cards, and Debit Cards were being manufactured using stolen information from identity theft victims were searched. A large amount of evidence was recovered from each location. Thousands of identity theft victims have been identified from that evidence.

An adult female human trafficking victim from Iowa was recovered during the investigation in Fulton County. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit was instrumental in providing expertise and victim services during the investigation.

Investigators identified and seized high end vehicles, cash, and other assets, from the members of this criminal organization, all with hopes of disrupting and dismantling a criminal organization that has been victimizing residents and businesses all across Georgia.

These individuals have been arrested and booked into the Houston County Jail.

Jonathan Baez (B/M 34) Fulton County, Georgia originally from New York was arrested and charged with Human Trafficking, Pimping, and Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. Baez has outstanding warrants in New York for Parole Violation, Attempted Murder and Assault with a firearm.

Lajerrius Barfield (B/M 32) Macon, Georgia was charged with Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Chashon Hayes (B/M 21) Warner Robins, Georgia was charged with Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Dana Peeples (B/F 30) Warner Robins, Georgia was charged with Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Frederick Green (B/M 28) Macon, Georgia was charged with Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Chaz Johnston (B/M 31) Tucker, Georgia with Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Diva Solomon (B/F 24) Warner Robins, Georgia was charged with Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Tramacy Campbell (B/F 30) Macon, Georgia was charged with Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

J Quan Davis (B/M 25) Macon, Georgia was charged with Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Iymaani Taylor (B/F 34) Macon, Georgia was charged with Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Charles Floyd (W/M 65) Macon, Georgia was charged with Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Stacy Turner (W/F 38) Macon, Georgia was charged with Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

This case is still under investigation, with more charges and arrest are expected.
