On June 10, 2023, at around 20:00 hrs., the Perry Police Department, Perry Fire Department and Houston County EMS were dispatched to a reported stabbing at 1820 Macon Rd, Perry, Georgia 31069 (Berkshire Court Apartments). Perry Police and Perry Fire Department units arrived on scene. A single stabbing victim was located outside of D-Building inside of the Berkshire Court Apartments complex. Life saving measures were attempted by Perry Police and Perry Fire. The victim was transported to Perry Hospital by Houston EMS where the victim succumbed to his injuries.

A suspect was taken into custody by Perry Police within minutes of arriving on scene. The Perry Police Department and Georgia Bureau of Investigations are actively investigating the incident.

Offender:

ANGELIQUE DEVEROUIX, Black Male, 45 years of age, from Perry, Georgia was arrested and charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime. Deverouix is currently being held at the Houston County Detention Center.

Victim:

TERRY PARKER, Black Male, 29 years of age, from Americus, Georgia was pronounced deceased at the Perry Hospital on June 10, 2023.
