Perry's Buzzard Drop is Back in 2022

Perry’s annual Buzzard Drop returns on Friday, December 31 in Historic Downtown Perry. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. The event is sponsored by ESG Operations, Inc.

The City invites everyone to the biggest New Year’s Eve Celebration in Middle Georgia!

The University of Georgia vs. Michigan Game Livestream
A 16-foot screen streaming the Georgia vs. Michigan football playoff game will be available on Ball Street.

Free Interactive Photobooth with Custom Prints
Take home a free, custom print from the courtesy photo booth to commemorate this year’s Buzzard Drop event.

Kiddie Countdown – 8:00 p.m.
The event will continue the tradition of the Kiddie Countdown for those who want to celebrate ringing in the new year a little early. Participants will enjoy confetti poppers, a balloon artist, meet Bob the Buzzard, and more.

Live Music All Night
The Macon Sound will start off the evening and play through 9:00 p.m. when DJ Mixmaster T will take the stage to play all the favorite hits that will have attendees dancing and singing all the way into the new year.

Courtesy Shuttle
The Perry Police Department will operate a courtesy shuttle for those who live within Perry’s city limits. Rides begin at 9:00 p.m. through 12:30 a.m. the night of the event. Pickup will be on Jernigan Street.

Personal heaters or outside coolers are not permitted inside the event. Blankets and bag chairs are encouraged.

Restaurants in Historic Downtown Perry will offer extended dining hours and a variety of food trucks will also be present at the event.
