SafeCam Program Partners With Neighborhoods To Solve Crime

The Perry Police Department has developed a new way to solve neighborhood crimes. The SafeCam Program is designed to work in partnership with citizens who utilize security cameras around their home.

The program allows individuals to inform the Perry Police Department about security camera systems at their private residences and local businesses. Participants will complete an online form where the department will maintain a database of camera locations.

When a crime is reported in a particular area, the police department may contact the owners of camera security systems in the area and request a copy of their video footage. The footage could assist investigators with developing leads in an investigation.

The program is voluntary and participation is free.

For more information, visit the City of Perry SafeCam Program webpage.

The Perry Police Department’s mission is to provide quality service in partnership with the community which promotes safe and secure neighborhoods.
