Sewer Smoke Testing and Manhole Inspections To Take Place In Designated Areas On April 18 and April 19

Posted on

An engineering team will be conducting testing on the sewer lines in designated areas on Tuesday, April 18 and Wednesday, April 19.

This will require access to and along City sewer easements and sewer manholes. Please anticipate staff presence via vehicle, all-terrain vehicle, or by foot in these areas.

Visible smoke will be present around manholes or along sewer lines as a part of this investigative process. This is a controlled evaluation in coordination with many City departments and partners.

Manhole Inspections and Smoke Testing will include Hwy 127 and Houston Lake Road residential areas. These areas will include Wind River, Woodlands, and Somerset/Hawk's Nest.

Manhole inspections will include Creekwood, Valley Drive, Faye Circle, and Frank Satterfield areas.

For questions or concerns, please contact Public Works at (478) 988-2732.
