Perry Police Make Multiple Arrests in Felony Theft Case

On July 11, 2022, Perry Police Department officers responded to Mike’s Golf Carts for a reported theft of 18 golf carts, a F-550 Ford truck, and a 36’ Flatbed Trailer. The total value of items stolen or damaged from Mikes Golf Carts exceeded $265,000. Perry Police Detectives, in collaboration with the Houston County District Attorney’s Office and the following Florida law enforcement agencies, Coconut Creek Police Department, South Florida Task Force, Broward County Sheriffs Office Burglar Apprehension Team, and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, identified five suspects involved in the theft.

On October 25, 2022, a Houston County Grand Jury indicted Timothy A. Silas, Arnold D. Silas, Antwain F. Swain, Terrance L. Johnson, and David L. Powell. Each offender was indicted on twenty (20) Felony Counts of Theft by Taking, (6) Felony Counts of Criminal Attempt to Commit Theft, and (1) felony count of Criminal Damage to Property.

Antwain Swain is currently in custody at the Houston County Detention Center. Timothy Silas is in custody in Broward County, Florida awaiting extradition to Houston County. Terrance Johnson, David Powell, and Arnold Silas remain at large as of October 26, 2022.
