On April 20, 2021 Mayor and Council approved the reoganization of Perry Fire & Emergency Services and promotions of the fire executive staff. Assistant Fire Chief Kirk Crumpton has been with the fire department since 2004 and is responsible for fire department operations. Perry Police Arrest Aggravated Assault Suspect On April 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1200-block of Jackson Lane in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers determined that multiple shots were fired with two victims. One victim is 20 years old from Warner Robins and shot three times. Spring Cleanup to Collect Unwanted Items

The City of Perry will hold the annual Spring Cleanup April 26 – 30. Public Works staff will pick up items unwanted items at curbside such as household items, appliances, tires (4 per residence), and old paint (must be solidified with kitty litter or other absorbent). Items not accepted include hazardous materials, pesticides, chemical, or biohazard materials. Mandatory 10-Digit Dialing Effective October 2021

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) designated 988 as the new, nationwide, 3-digit phone number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. This designation requires all phone service providers to direct all 988 calls to the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline by July 16, 2022. State of Georgia Rental Assistance Program

The State of Georgia received $552 million from U.S. Treasury’s Federal Emergency Rental Assistance Program to provide relief to those whose finances have been negatively impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
