Pine Needle Park Inclusive Playground Grand Opening

City leaders and community partners celebrated the grand opening of Pine Needle Park's inclusive playground on November 14! The inclusive playground was made possible through a generous donation by the James E. Perry Police Department Responds to Involuntary Manslaughter Incident

UPDATE - November 13, 2023 | 3:06 PM On November 10th, 2023, at around 10 P.M. the Perry Police Department responded to 610 Marsha Drive in reference to a shooting. Responding officers found an unresponsive 13-year-old female inside the residence with a gunshot wound to the neck. The victim was transported to Perry Hospital by Houston County EMS, where she succumbed to her injury. Perry Police Department Responds to Armed Robbery/Aggravated Assault

On November 4th, 2023, at around 6:00 A.M. the Perry Police Department responded to 1602 Sam Nunn Blvd, Quality Inn in reference to a personal armed robbery. Officer arrived on scene and learned that a black male had entered the two victim’s hotel room brandishing a handgun and demanding money. There were no injuries reported by any of the victims. Temporary Impacts to Rotary Centennial Park
