Council Member Robert Jones was elected to council in 2014. A Perry resident for over 35 years, he is employed at the Westfield School as a high school teacher. Mr. Jones is as a former youth pastor and interim senior pastor at Grace Church in Perry. He lists his proudest accomplishments on council as working together with Council Member Bynum-Grace to secure state-of-the-art playground equipment to Creekwood and Rozar Park and establish Pine Needle Park in Perry. Mr. Jones was appointed as Mayor Pro Tempore in 2021.
