WF Ragin Drive Detour Begins February 16

Beginning February 16, 2026, a traffic shift will take place on General Courtney Hodges Boulevard as part of the bridge replacement project over Big Indian Creek.

The southern end of WF Ragin Drive near St. James CME Church will be closed. Motorists will still be able to access WF Ragin Drive by following the posted detour using SR 7 (Ball Street), as shown in the graphic.

Message boards will be placed in advance to notify drivers of the upcoming closure and lane shifts. Traffic patterns will be closely monitored throughout the closure, and adjustments will be made as needed to help manage congestion in the downtown area.
