City leaders and community partners celebrated the grand opening of Pine Needle Park's inclusive playground on November 14!
The inclusive playground was made possible through a generous donation by the James E. Worrall Foundation and works to cement the Foundation’s and City’s commitment to inclusivity and opportunities for all.
The Worrall Foundation contributed $35,000 to the City of Perry for the purchase and installation of accessible playground equipment at Pine Needle Park. This new addition to the park is designed to be a welcoming space for children and families of all abilities.
The James E. Worrall Foundation is a living legacy to honor the late Mayor James E. Worrall and his 20 years of service to the City of Perry. The Worrall Foundation, led by volunteers and headed by City of Perry Councilmember Joe Posey, also works to promote and fund recreational activities within the City of Perry to further Mayor Worrall’s goal of improving opportunities for the community’s youth.
Pine Needle Park is located at 1020 Country Club Road in Perry and is open to the public seven days a week during daylight hours.
