Annual Spring Cleanup Set For April 10-14

The City of Perry’s annual Spring Cleanup event happens April 10-14 for the City’s residential customers.

The Spring Cleanup program includes some items that are normally not hauled off by the standard trash service.

Items will be picked up on the customer’s regular pick up day. Bulk collection begins on Monday, April 10, however, the actual collection time will vary due to the location, total volume, and type of materials set out.

Residents may place up to 4 tires per household for collection during this week only. All rims must be removed from the tires. Any tires with rims still attached will not be picked up.

Bulk items such as furniture (couches, chairs, tables, appliances, and mattresses) must be placed curbside, sorted, and stacked in a neat and orderly manner no later than 6:00 a.m. the morning before the resident’s scheduled pickup day.

Prohibited items include: roofing materials, tile, concrete, bricks, stones, automotive body parts, engines, transmissions, batteries, used oil, wet paint (liquid), insecticides, chemicals, and hazardous waste.,

Biohazard materials will not be accepted. This includes blades, needles, or anything containing bodily fluids.

This is a free service offered once a year to City of Perry residents. The City reserves the right to refuse items that do not meet the criteria of this program.

Questions may be directed to the City of Perry Public Works Department at 478-988-2732.
