Perry Wins National Awards for International Festival and Perry Presents

The City of Perry’s International Festival and Perry Presents were awarded national awards by the City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) at their annual conference in Arlington, Texas this month. The Perry International Festival won 1st in the nation. Perry Presents won 2nd in the nation.

The association’s Savvy Awards celebrate exceptional achievements in local government communications, public-sector marketing, and resident-government relations. These awards honor the talented professionals in cities, counties, agencies, and districts who have creatively developed and executed successful communications and marketing initiatives.

City of Perry Communications Director, Tabitha Clark, commented, “Winning national awards for the Perry International Festival and Perry Presents is a proud moment for the City of Perry. The awards are a testament to the hard work, creativity, and dedication of our staff. Our goal with Perry events is to bring people together in a meaningful way to create a superior quality of life for our residents and visitors. This recognition encourages us to continue delivering exceptional experiences that showcase Perry as a premier community.”

The Perry International Festival is currently in its fourth year and honored as one of the Top 20 Signature Events in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society. With representation from more than 25 countries, the Perry International Festival promotes the preservation of heritage and tradition through cultural education and entertainment. In 2023, Historic Downtown Perry welcomed over 11,400 visitors to the event including attendees from around the southeast region. The 2024 Perry International Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Historic Downtown Perry. Event information is located on the City’s website.

The Perry Presents Concert Lawn Series, now in its sixth year, offers evenings filled with delicious food and fantastic music at Heritage Oaks Park in Perry. Held three times a year, the series features a variety of music themes, including country, rock, and classic throwbacks. Attendees are welcome to bring coolers and chairs or take advantage of on-site food and beverage vendors. Each event typically draws a crowd of 1,000 or more. The series is scheduled to return during Perry’s 2025 event season.
