Redmond & Yoder Promoted to Lieutenant

Lieutenant Austin Redmond grew up in Perry and graduated from Perry High School in 2009. He started his fire service career 10 years ago with the Warner Robins Fire Department. He has been with the Perry Fire Dept since 2016. He was selected as firefighter of the year in 2018 and has been part of the special events committee. Lt. Redmond and his wife (Hannah) have been married 10 years and live in Unadilla, 2 daughters Sutton and Sienna. Expecting a third daughter, Shiloh, in December.
Lieutenant Jonathan Yoder is from and lives in Macon County where he started firefighting as a volunteer. He served with the Americus Fire Department for 9 years before coming to Perry in 2016. Lt. Yoder has been assisting our Training Chief with the design of our “burn building.” He is working towards his Fire Instructor 2 certification to be able to lead the live burns once the building is complete.
