Houston Arts Alliance Donates Sculpture at Rotary Centennial Park
The Houston Arts Alliance donated a new sculpture to the people of Perry and Houston County at Rotary Centennial Park earlier this month.
Donnie Wright of Cochran, Georgia constructed the sculpture “Woodland Family”. The piece reflects a deer family consisting of a buck, a doe, and a fawn.
Mr. Wright also commissioned the horse sculpture on the Perry Events Center lawn through the efforts of the Perry Arts Center Advisory Board. With funding from the Houston Arts Alliance and an anonymous donor, Mr. Wright was recently commissioned to create a buck deer for Rotary Centennial Park. It was Mr. Wright’s idea to expand the piece to include a doe and a fawn to create the “Woodland Family”.
Rotary Centennial Park is located at 650 General Courtney Hodges Boulevard.
