Countywide Animal Control Board Position Available

We're seeking a person to fill a position on the countywide animal control board! The person appointed to this position will represent the City of Perry to review animal control action repeals, make recommendations to governing authorities about animal control regulations, and assist in developing public education materials for animal maintenance and control. Two Arrested In July 24 Homicide On July 24, 2021, at 11:15 pm, Perry police officers responded to a shots fired call at Mason Terrace Apartments. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 77-year-old black male, Willie Jacox (address of 110 Ridge Court, Centerville, Georgia), had been shot multiple times and was not responsive. Perry’s ISO Rating Improves

Perry’s ISO Rating Improves The City of Perry recently received an Insurance Services Office (ISO) rating of Class 3/3x. Perry’s previous rating was 4/4x. This designation puts Perry in the top 15% nationwide. The ISO evaluates fire departments across the nation to determine how well-equipped they are to respond and extinguish fires in their community. Non-Essential City Offices Closed Monday, July 5 All non-essential city offices are closed Monday, July 5 to observe the Independence Day holiday. The Work Session scheduled for this day is also cancelled. Waste Management will continue their regular schedule for trash and recycle pickup. The City will not provide bulk pickup on Monday, July 5.
