Flint Energies Awards Perry Police Department With $10,000 Grant

Flint Energies Foundation awarded the Perry Police Department, as well as 25 other departments, with $10,000 as part of their mission to support local law enforcement with their public safety efforts. Two Arrested In July 24 Homicide On July 24, 2021, at 11:15 pm, Perry police officers responded to a shots fired call at Mason Terrace Apartments. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 77-year-old black male, Willie Jacox (address of 110 Ridge Court, Centerville, Georgia), had been shot multiple times and was not responsive. Perry Firefighters Rescue Trapped Woman In the early morning of June 2, Perry Fire and Emergency Services responded to a structure fire at the Soho Inn on Valley Drive. Responders were advised people might be trapped inside a room. The Perry Police Department also arrived at the building and alerted other occupants about the fire. Perry Police Arrest Aggravated Assault Suspect On April 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1200-block of Jackson Lane in reference to a shooting.
