LANE CLOSURE | ELKO ROAD Elko Road, just south of Perry Parkway, is down to one lane due to instability of the shoulder near the roadway. A message board and traffic cones/barrels have been placed to divert traffic around the affected area. On January 12, 2023, the Perry Police Department arrested Reshawn Brown (25 YOA) from Macon Georgia for 17 counts of Entering Automobile, 15 counts of Criminal Trespass, 2 counts of Criminal Damage of Property and 1 count Loitering. On January 6, 2023, the Perry Police Department along with the Criminal Investigation was called out to 1502 Sam Nunn Boulevard, Holiday Inn Express in reference to multiple vehicles that had been entered. Perry Officers Arrest Dollar General Employee for Theft

On January 23, 2023, the Perry Police Department responded to the Dollar General on Plaza Drive, Perry, Georgia in reference to a theft. Once the officers arrived at the scene it was discovered over 150 fraudulent transactions were made by an employee who was employed by Dollar General. The employee was identified as Vanessa Monique Brownlee, 32 YOA, from Warner Robins, Georgia. Dollar General officials estimate the loss as being upward of $80,000.00.
