Mayor and Council recognized Small Business Saturday, the Saturday following Thanksgiving, at the November 15, 2022 Council Meeting. On November 26, Downtown Perry businesses will join other small businesses across the country in recognizing and celebrating Small Business Saturday. Section of Thompson Road to Temporarily Close

Beginning on November 14, a section of Thompson Road between Perry Parkway and Hwy 41 will be closed. The detour route will be the intersection of Perry Parkway and Hwy 41. Road closure signs will be placed to the North and South of Thompson Road along Hwy 41 and Perry Parkway. Temporary barricades will be placed at both ends of Thompson Road. Officers Arrest Two With Multiple Drug Charges On November 8, 2022, Perry Police Officer Davis observed a vehicle with a non-functioning driver's side headlight and no tag lights traveling on Houston Lake Road. Officer Davis conducted the traffic stop and called for Sergeant Banks and her partner, K9 Fennec. A search of the car was conducted after K9 Fennec alerted. In October, Lt. Hill of the Perry Police Department discovered a person that appeared to be passed out at the Circle K on Perry Parkway. During the investigation, a struggle ensued between the suspect and responding officers.
