State of Georgia Rental Assistance Program

The State of Georgia received $552 million from U.S. Treasury’s Federal Emergency Rental Assistance Program to provide relief to those whose finances have been negatively impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The money will be distributed directly to landlords/utility companies, and eligible applicants can receive up to 12-15 months of payment relief. More Information

Mossy Creek Natural Announces Expansion

Mossy Creek Natural announced the business is expanding to a second studio at Ball Street Crossing as a makerspace to keep the 915 Carroll Street store stocked with locally-made products. Mossy Creek Natural is a minority-owned bath and body business in Downtown Perry. In 2020, sales grew 33% and space limitations in the retail building caused difficulty in keeping products on the shelves. Perry Fire & Emergency Services Recognized With Life Saving Award

Mayor and Council recognized members of the City of Perry Fire & Emergency Services with the Life Saving award for their response to a gunshot wound victim in January. Perry Police Department officers apprehended the suspect shortly after the incident.
